Luigi Bernardino (1480/1490? - Milano, 1532)
It’s not known where he was born. The origins of his art are, however, to be found in the painting of Lombardy and linked to the Borgognone; clearly seen is the influence of Bramantino. Vask and well-known is his production of frescoes. Among his most important works is the wonderful cycle which decorates the “Monastero Maggiore” in Milan. This is a reproduction coming from the original preserved in the Modern Art Gallery in Milan.
