Mario Sironi (Sassari, 1885 - Milano, 1961)
Active in Milan, he was part of the “Futurist” movement and, after of “Novecento”. His painting aimed at the reconstruction of monumental and plastic values, by Impressionism repudiated, which he rendered in great compositions with the fresco technique. Later, the expressionist elements, latent since the first stage of his art, got the upper hand, leading him towards a more severe and formal analysis. The original of this reproduction is in a private collection.
